Rock is roughly 2.5 hours from the Mackinaw Bridge in Michigan’s beautiful Upper Peninsula. In Rock, there is almost always a lake breeze. Winds from the south bring warmth off Lake Michigan, and winds from the north bring cool from Lake Superior. Rock has a population of 181 people. Many of these people travel for work daily to towns such as Escanaba or Marquette. One school district covers 250 square miles and has a K-12 student population of about 200 students.

PRAYER REQUESTS:

  1. The weekly Kids Club will resume in October.
  2. Rock Bible Chapel hosts a Hunter’s Dinner in November; our speaker is a combat veteran who is an avid hunter and fisherman devoted to Jesus Christ. Pray for those who will be up at their hunting camps and join us for this dinner – pray they would hear the Gospel message with open ears and hearts.
  3. At Christmas this year, we will have a Christmas Eve service for the first time in several years, an evening service, and a cookie social.
