Our elementary school distributes backpacks of food to students who need food for the weekend. These backpacks are provided by the state food bank. When we heard the school needed 20 but only received 10, our church decided to provide the other 10 backpacks. People signed up to bring the food needed for each bag for the remainder of the school year. The program coordinator at the school and the state foodbank staff were surprised and excited. We’re grateful for this opportunity to show the love of Christ.
