The weather was terrible the week of our annual Wild Game Dinner: bitterly cold with powerful winds and drifting snow on the roads. To our surprise, 76 people braved the weather to come. Most do not attend our church. This is the one church event that some of our Amish neighbors attend. A local hunter/fisherman and committed Christian man shared hunting stories and the Gospel. Throughout the evening, we gave away door prizes such as fishing poles, winter clothing, flashlights, and insulated lunch boxes. The Lord truly blessed the evening.
