During junior church, Leslie described the angels appearing to the shepherds and how excited the shepherds were that the long-awaited Savior had come. She told the children that the shepherds were probably as excited as we will be when the Lord comes back for us. A nine-year-old boy interrupted her to ask, “What do you mean, the Lord is coming back?” She explained that the Lord will return for those who have surrendered their life to Him and have Him as their Savior. The boy immediately said he needed to be ready and wanted to ask Jesus to be his Savior, so Leslie prayed with him. She noticed some of the other kids who know Jesus were praying as well – they realized what a holy moment it was. The boy was very excited! After the service, he found me and told me about his decision.
