Alvwood is a northern Minnesota township in the middle of the Chippewa National Forest, at the headwaters of the Mississippi River. We are one hour northwest of Bemidji. Alvwood is a fishing and tourist location for people from the Twin Cities and southern Minnesota, so our lakes have many cabins. Forestry and cattle are also a big part of our community.
