A man from Meadowbrook church throws an axe at a target.

Richard & Rhonda Adrian, Meadowbrook, AB

Our church held a men’s outreach event called “Axes, Arrows and Ammo.” It included three competitions – axe throwing, archery, and skeet shooting – followed by a smoked brisket meal. Twenty-four men participated. They enthusiastically cheered one another in the competition for donated prizes. Prizes included knives crafted with flint-napped obsidian blades and deer antler handles. We were thrilled that seven unchurched community men came. They listened attentively as a man from our church shared his testimony of God’s goodness and provision after the farm accident that resulted in him losing a hand and a foot. I closed the event by sharing the gospel and discussing where our aim in life must be.
