I asked the church board for a volunteer to preach the Sunday after the VM staff conference. One man was admittedly nervous but willing to try since I’d be there to encourage him. As he was preparing, he excitedly told me about the Bible passage he chose. On the day, he preached with enthusiasm and did well. I am encouraged to see church leaders stretching themselves spiritually.
