Mohawk is 10 miles northeast of Springfield. People tend to pass through on their way to elsewhere, and residents prefer to keep to themselves, which poses challenges for ministry. Our area features the timber industry, some cattle farmers, and many people who have hobby farms but work in town. There’s a clear need for Jesus in Mohawk.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
- Pray for us as we experiment with different inroads to community connection: hosting a Farmers Market in our parking lot, a twice-a-month Moms Group, and a weekly homeschool co-op, as well as being a potential emergency disaster relief station.
- Pray that God draws many to Himself through our fall and winter outreach efforts: a Community Cider Press, Thanksgiving Potluck, and Christmas Eve Service.
- Pray for discipleship efforts with men, women, and children in personal interactions and group studies.
