We organized a fall festival for the young children of our church. We took the opportunity to teach them how to participate in Sunday worship services. We went into the sanctuary and gave each of them a bulletin and a children’s Bible. Then we showed them how to locate the hymns and Bible reading. We taught them about corporate prayer and how to volunteer prayer requests. Since then, some of the children are more engaged on Sunday mornings. They even say the Lord’s Prayer with everyone, and a few have volunteered prayer requests.
