We kicked off the youth group with a classic rural scene of “vintage baseball” on a rocky ball field (the church parking lot), with kids and adults sitting on the tailgates of old pickup trucks and cheering on the teams. After spirited play, the kids were challenged to “stump the pastors” as they peppered a guest pastor and me with their toughest Bible questions.
