Russell & Linda Richardson, Sauvie Island, OR

Our community is just 13 miles from downtown Portland. It is the largest island on the Columbia River, and we have one bridge. The area is predominately farmland and wildlife refuge. There are about 1,100 people who live here; however, it is not unusual for us to have 1 million visitors each year.

PRAYER REQUESTS: Sauvie Island Community Church is the only church on the island, and we desire to be faithful disciples of Jesus Christ and faithful examples to those around us. We are looking forward to restarting our after-school club and small-group ministry this fall. We would love to see the children in our after-school club attend our Sunday service with their parents.

Linda and I are grateful to God for the opportunity to serve with Village Missions for almost 45 years…and for 20 years here on Sauvie Island.
