We enjoy ministering to the community alongside our kids, particularly at their elementary school. We helped our daughter’s class with a math test, volunteered at the school’s book fair, put on a Valentine’s party for our son’s class, and brought snacks for the basketball team during their game. We appreciate the small-town advantage of having so many events with the same small group of people, enabling our kids and us to form deep relationships. Two families have started attending our church partly because of the friendship and kindness our daughter showed their kids.
