Guy & Geni Shields, Executive Director of Village Missions Canada (2026)

Village Missions of Canada is partnered with 31 small-town and rural churches. Presently, Village Missionaries serve 24, and 7 are awaiting full-time pastoral leadership. Most of the churches are in the westernmost provinces: British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan. We have three partner churches in Manitoba, three in Ontario, and one in Nova Scotia.

PRAYER REQUESTS:

  1. Our most pressing need is for new Village Missionaries to serve our partner churches and to enable VM Canada to assist more churches.
  2. Ask the Lord to encourage the missionaries as they serve their congregations and engage their communities.
  3. Pray for the ministry of our District Representatives, who provide key support for the missionaries and visit them twice a year.
  4. Pray for Geni and me as we travel extensively to visit churches, represent VM at Bible colleges and missions conferences, connect with ministry partners, and recruit new missionaries.
