I often conduct funerals for people I’ve never met. Recently I had the opportunity to minister to a family that experienced a stillbirth. They live in a town 25 miles away and don’t have a church family. The funeral home director contacted me, and I was honored to comfort this grieving family with Scripture and to share hope. A couple of weeks later, our church hosted another funeral, this one for a woman in our community. She and her boyfriend died in a tragic accident with a heater in their camper. None of her family came to the service or the meal afterward, but her friends did, and we were thankful we could point them to Christ.
