Philipsburg is a former mining town in southwest Montana. Tourists come to enjoy the scenic views of the Pintler Mountains and local wildlife. Activities include outdoor recreation like skiing, ice fishing, ice skating, hunting, summer camping, hiking, fishing, and sapphire mining. This is also a popular retirement destination.
