Matthew & Shanay Deneault, Cardston, AB

Cardston is located in the southwest corner of Alberta, where the flat prairies turn into the rolling foothills of the Rocky Mountains. A town of 3,500 people, Cardston is a farming and ranching community at heart. Like many of the surrounding communities in southern Alberta, it is predominantly Mormon (or Latter-Day Saint, as they like to be called) and has a long heritage of Native American history, as Cardston sits along the border of the Blood Reserve of the Kanai Blackfoot Nation.

  1. Pray for our family as we settle into a new home across town and as we look forward to another baby due in March.
  2. Throughout the school year we host mid-week Bible studies, youth group, and the AWANA program. Pray that God will use these ministries to share the truth of His gospel with our community.
  3. Pray for reconciliation in Christ and an open door for our church to minister to people on the Blackfoot Reserve that borders our community.
  4. Lastly, please pray that God will continue to supply us with strength, patience, faith, and love as we share the hope of Christ here in Cardston.
