Samuel & Mercy Farag, Gorham, NY

We will never forget our first weeks at Bethel Baptist Church. Our first Sunday contained both joy and crisis! It was a joy to meet the church family and honor the outgoing interim pastor with a farewell luncheon. That afternoon though, one of our daughters fell and fractured her skull, causing a brain bleed. We spent the next few days at the hospital. During those days, we were blessed with a tremendous outpouring of love and prayers from Christians worldwide! Our daughter’s accident helped connect us to the church through love and prayer. From my first Sunday in the pulpit, I’ve felt a deep connection with the people of this church.
