Stories from the Field

One of our ministry partners made a surprise visit to our church on a Sunday morning. We were thrilled to see him and his son and introduce them to the church family. After the service, we went to the local Chinese restaurant. We enjoyed a good meal and an encouraging visit. We chatted with the

For our AWANA closing program, we held a Grand Prix featuring race cars designed and decorated by the children. Many children received prizes, and we capped off the day with ice-cream sundaes. Aside from the festivities that took place, the greatest blessing was being able to share the Gospel with the 100-plus people who attended!

Our church decided to host a Singspiration, the first one since my family came to Ridgeway. I am not a skilled singer, so I dreaded standing in front of people and singing for an hour. I didn’t expect many people to come, either. But God surprised me. Our church was packed with 59 attendees (twice

Recently we prepared to baptize a young man named Andy but faced several obstacles. The water hook-up didn’t work, the tank heater kept blowing a fuse, and Andy was hesitant to speak in public. We got the baptistry full and warm, and Andy did an excellent job of sharing his testimony and explaining the Gospel.

For a men’s outreach event, we watched a movie called American Gospel: Christ Alone. Thirteen men representing four churches came to it. We provided donuts and coffee and a chili lunch. Everyone enjoyed the fellowship and discussion! The movie sparked eye-opening conversations, and the men agreed they would like to watch the next one in the series

Our Youth Group has really taken off! Since we started it in November, over 20 kids have been attending. They all enjoy it and are even bringing their friends. After not having any youth activities in our community for the past two years, kids seem to have really latched on to this. We are excited

A few months ago, a young man named Cody began to come to church. One day he told me that he had recently accepted Christ as his Savior and wanted to go deeper in his relationship with Christ. Cody and I have been studying the book of John. Each day we discuss the next passage
